ABOUT MEMBERSHIP

ACCE offers a range of benefits for individuals, corporations, and institutions in the construction industry, and having a paid membership with ACCE can provide numerous advantages.

 

From networking opportunities and professional development to accreditation support and advocacy, ACCE membership provides a platform for growth, collaboration, and recognition.

First Time Membership

Individual Membership

A person having an interest in the construction industry or in construction education or in providing goods or services to construction professionals and/or educators may become a Individual Member. Individual Members are able to influence the educational experience of future construction leaders through their participation on ACCE committees and to network with other industry members and academic leaders to promote quality construction education.

  • Individual Members representatives may participate as members of the Industry Caucus. 

  • Individual Member representatives may be appointed to ACCE committees.

  • An Individual Member is invited to attend the following committee meetings: Finance Committee, Guidance Committee, Industry Liaison Committee, Marketing and Communications Committee, Standards Committee, and Training Committees

  • An Individual is invited to attend ACCE Midyear Conference and ACCE Annual meetings.

  • Annual fee for Individual Membership is $150.00 per year; first-year fee is $75.00.

Individual Lifetime Membership 

Any individual interested in the construction industry or construction education who desires to contribute knowledge or support to ACCE may become a Lifetime Member.  Lifetime Members may participate as members of the Educator or Industry Caucus (as appropriate) and may be appointed to any ACCE committees for which they meet qualifications.

 

If selected by the Board of Trustees, Individual Members may serve as an officer or trustee.  Dues for a Lifetime Membership are a one-time payment of $1,500.  Lifetime Members are exempt from additional dues.

Association Membership

A construction industry‐related professional association, society, institute, or foundation can influence the educational experience of future construction leaders by becoming an Association Member of the ACCE.  Association Members are able to influence the educational experience of future construction leaders through their representatives’ participation on ACCE committees and to network with other industry members and academic leaders to promote quality construction education.

  • Association Members may appoint one representative who has authority to act for the association in all matters relating to ACCE.  The representative preferably should be an industry practitioner or a construction educator.

  • Association Member representatives may participate as members of the Educator or Industry Caucus and may be appointed to ACCE committees and elected to the Board of Trustees.

  • Logos for Association Members will be prominently displayed on ACCE correspondence and website.

  • Annual fee for Association Membership level is $3,000 per year, which includes registration for one representative to attend the ACCE Annual Conference and the Midyear Conference. 

Industry Advisory Board Membership

Any Industry Advisory Board that supports an ACCE accredited construction education program that has an interest to contribute knowledge or support to ACCE may become an Industry Advisory Board (IAB) Member. 

  • Each IAB Member shall appoint a person to serve as its representative. The representative must be a member of the affiliated program’s IAB.

  • IAB Member representatives may participate as members of the Industry Caucus and may be appointed to any ACCE committees for which they meet qualifications. 

  • If selected by the Board of Trustees, IAB Member representatives may serve as an officer or member of the Board of Trustees. 

  • IAB Member representatives will be invited to the Annual Industry Advisory Board Workshop held just prior to the ACCE Midyear Conference.  Separate registration for the workshop will be required. 

  • Annual dues for IAB Members are $2,400 per year.  This includes registration for one representative to attend the ACCE Annual Conference, the Midyear Conference, and the ACCE IAB Event.

Sustaining Association Membership

A construction industry‐related professional association, society, institute, or foundation can influence the educational experience of future construction leaders by becoming a Sustaining Association Member of the ACCE.  Sustaining Association Members are able to influence the educational experience of future construction leaders through their representatives’ participation on ACCE Board of Trustees and to network with other industry members and academic leaders to promote quality construction education.

  • Sustaining Association Members shall appoint one representative to serve on the Board of Trustees.  This representative shall have authority to act for the association in all matters relating to ACCE.  The representative preferably should be an industry practitioner or a construction educator.

  • Sustaining Association Member representatives may participate as members of the Educator or Industry Caucus and may be appointed to ACCE committees.

  • Logos for Sustaining Association Members will be prominently displayed on ACCE correspondence and website.  Also, a display table at the ACCE Annual Conference and the Midyear Conference will be provided for the Sustaining Association Member.

  • Annual fee for Sustaining Association Membership level is $6,000 per year, which includes registration for one representative to attend the ACCE Annual Conference and the Midyear Conference. 

Corporate Membership

Any company or corporation having an interest in the construction industry or in construction education that desires to contribute knowledge or support to ACCE may become a Corporate Member. 

  • Each Corporate Member shall appoint a person to serve as its representative. The representative should be an industry practitioner.

  • Corporate Member representatives may participate as members of the Industry Caucus and may be appointed to any ACCE committees for which they meet qualifications.

  • If selected by the Board of Trustees, Corporate Member representatives may serve as an officer or member of the Board of Trustees.

  • Corporate Member representatives will be invited to the Annual Industry Advisory Board Conference held just prior to the ACCE Midyear Conference. Separate registration for the workshop will be required.

  • Annual dues for Corporate Members is $3,000 per year which includes registration for one representative to attend the ACCE Annual Conference and the Midyear Conference. 

Emeritus Members

Any individual interested in the construction industry or construction education and has been active in ACCE for at least 15 years and has retired from industry employment or retired from an Educational Institution with at least one accredited program can apply to become an Emeritus Member.  

 

Designation as an Emeritus Member requires Board of Trustees’ approval.  The best part is that the annual dues for Emeritus Members are waived!
