Dr. Charles (Chuck) Berryman has served 37 years in various, and sometimes concurrent, administrative roles for academia, professional organizations, and the construction industry. He is the author and/or co-author of 40+ published manuscripts and is involved in approximately $21.1 million in research as a Principle Investigator (PI) I or Co-PI.
Dr. Berryman is currently the Chair of the Bert S. Turner Department of Construction Management in the College of Engineering at Louisiana State University. He also holds an endowed chair position, the Chair of the Construction Education Trust Fund Professorship. He has developed multiple academic degree programs (campus and online) during his career.
He was former President of the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) and has received both of their Outstanding Researcher and Educator Awards. He is a lifetime member of the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), a former member of their Board of Trustees, and the current Chair of the ACCE Standards Committee. He has also chaired several ACCE Visiting Teams for our accreditation site visits.
