The Professional Development Committee is responsible for the development and implementation of a Professional Development Certification Program. This involves the establishment of certification criteria, review of applications for certification, and making recommendations to the Executive Committee for an award of certification.

The purpose of the Certification Program is to recognize industry-related professional development Programs offered by Educational Institutions, industry associations, and private companies that meet ACCE criteria for certification.

The committee also is responsible for training application reviewers and outreach to providers of Professional Development Programs to ensure that they are aware of the Certification Program.
